My uncle Rodney passed away on Saturday December 1st 2007. He was diagnosed with cancer less than 2 months before and was taken from us so quickly. My grandparents, our family and his friends will miss him dearly.

He was layed to rest on Wednesday December 4th, 2007 at the Galt Cemetery in Galt, CA next to his beloved son Jeffrey Lee Wiley who passed away tragically at the age of 2 years old.

Rodney loved to fish and come across a great find at a garage sale. He was very artistic and was able to create wonderful things that were both nice to look at and useable. He was very handy and could make something useful out of almost anything.

I will miss your jokes and smiling face. You always had us laughing.

We took a trip over to Redding to pick up Kristyn's friend Megan and on our way back we spotted a black bear on the river bank. This is the second time we have seen a bear along the river on a trip to pick up Megan. I guess she is our bear luck!

I almost forgot my big lens on this trip. Tony reminded me at the last minute, so thanks to him that I got some great pics of the bear.

The bear was not too concerned about us, he just strolled along the river bank stopping every once in a while to look around.

I just wanted to say welcome to our new and greatly improved website. We haven't done much to the design in years. So, we thought we would jaz it up a bit. We are still moving content over and getting things setup how we want it.

In case you are interested, the picture in the header was taken on one of our many 4x4 trips. This was along South Fork Mountain Rd going south from Highway 36. You can see Mt Shasta in the distance on the right side of the pic. This is a beautiful drive. You can see forever and drive for miles and miles on all the forest roads and trails.
